PENDIDIKAN GIZI BERBASIS WEBSITE MENINGKATKAN PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP TENTANG SERIBU HARI PERTAMA KEHIDUPAN PADA REMAJA
Abstract
The objective of this study was to analyze the impact of web-based nutrition education intervention on nutrition knowledge and attitude, and examined its effectiveness when compared with conventional nutrition education media (booklet). The design of this study was quasi-experimental. A pre-post intervention study conducted in Bogor Regency, West Java and involved 108 adolescents of 10th and 11th grade vocational high-schools. Nutrition education materials discuss about importance of the first thousand days of life. Web-based nutrition education intervention significantly increased knowledge (p=0.001) and attitude (p=0.038). Frequency and duration of accessing the website were positively related to increased knowledge and attitude of the first thousand days of life. However, compared with the booklet, an increase in nutrition knowledge and attitude were not significantly different. Thus, the use of both nutrition education media had a positive impact on the increase of nutrition knowledge and attitude.
