EFEKTIVITIS PIJAT OKSITOSIN UNTUK MENINGKATKAN PRODUKSI ASI PADA IBU MENYUSUI DI PMB L DRAMAGA KABUPATEN BOGOR

Abstract

Breast milk is the best nutrition for newborns up to 6 months of age. According to WHO (2020) only a few babies under six months of age in Indonesia receive breast milk, and almost half of Indonesian children do not get the nutrition they need in the first two years of their lives. The proportion of babies who receive exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia is 76.46%. The breastfeeding coverage rate in West Java is 58.5%. One effort to increase production and facilitate breast milk is with Oxytocin massage and Oxytocin massage is one solution to overcome the irregularities in breast milk production. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of oxytocin massage on increasing breast milk production. This type of research is quantitative. The method used in this study was quasi-experimental with the Independent T-Test to see the effectiveness of oxytocin massage on increasing breast milk production. The results of the Independent T-Test study obtained a p value of 0.000 - 0.05 which indicated a significant effect after oxytocin massage with complaints of breast milk there was a slight increase in breast milk production. The conclusion of the research results shows that there is effectiveness of oxytocin massage for children in increasing breast milk production and has a significant influence.
