HUBUNGAN PIJAT TUINA TERHADAP PENINGKATAN NAFSU MAKAN ANAK PADA USIA 1-5 TAHUN DI PUSKESMAS BOGOR UTARA

Abstract

Tui Na massage is an alternative way to increase the vagus nerve muscle which influences the increase in appetite so that children become hungry easily. The incidence of malnutrition and poor nutritional status in Indonesia is still high. Where one of the factors causing the incidence rate is due to psychosocial factors that occur in children under five, one of which is a decrease in appetite in children under five. The aim of the research is to determine the relationship between Tui Na Massage and increased appetite in children 1-5 years old. This type of quantitative research uses the Experimental Design research method with a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design research design. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of tuina massage on children's appetite. The sample population in this study was all toddlers aged 1-5 years, totaling 30 respondents, and analysis used the Chi Square method. The sampling technique is a total sampling technique. Based on the research results, the research results were obtained after the Tui Na massage was carried out 12 times, there was a P-value of 0.000 which indicated that there was a relationship between Tui Na massage and increased appetite in children based on age, gender and age. Conclusion: There is a relationship between Tuina pediatric massage and increasing children's appetite. Suggestions further increase efforts to reduce appetite with non-pharmacological therapy, namely pediatric massage Eating Difficult Massage Therapy (Tui Na) .
